At the end of the day you could argue that those videos were just rng being generous on them but of the other side a meta comp can lose due to a double crit bleed proc on the healer etc. however that does not stop you from pushing the game to it's technical limits, if you want examples of this just look at the youtubers Don't Panic or Fourtwoflow who've done absurd things like quad leper double MAA's bosses etc. but as for what you said about comps its only half true if you want to absolutely minimise the chances of a loss then there's always a meta comp in order to make sure that you are fully prepared for worse case situations. Well that's just a certain way of looking at things of course you can try and use certain types of comps just for funsies however you will most likely be punished for it in the extreme in champion dungeons, where all it takes is a single crit for a catastrophic loss.
